Dear Benefactors and Friends,

Warm greetings (it’s been hot!) on this Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus!  We have been praying for you! You were especially remembered at our beautiful May Crowning of Our Lady—with the children who had made their First Communion bringing “flowers of the fairest” and a floral crown as even the youngest voices enthusiastically sang Immaculate Mary. It was heavenly! 

There are so many things to be thankful for (including your faithful support!) as we end another wonderful year at the school—so much learning, praying, growing, working, creating, playing, singing, and loving in this joyful, Christ-centred school community.  I marvel that after over 30 years teaching here, every school year seems fresh, exciting, and new to me because each student in my class is miraculously unique, deeply precious, and a source of endless wonder!

Kind friends, we need to ask once again for your help! We have some extra needs this summer—like the creation of a new office/entrance on Beaty Avenue for the safety of the students as construction begins on a building next door.  We need to refresh some of our well-used spaces that take a daily beating from young hands and feet—like our school library.  Our shelves and our books are clearly showing their constant use—a good thing in this digital age!  In past years, we have relied on our participation in the Great Canadian Giving Challenge to pay the summer bills, but this event was not hosted this year.
