Wye Marsh Excursion
Published on Thursday, 21 February 2013
An over-night trip to the Wye Marsh was just the way to enjoy winter! The FSC students had a chance to experience the beauty of an Ontario winter and the wildlife of the marsh, observing the trumpeter swans, feeding the chickadees, and learning how to snow-shoe and cross-country ski.
Lows of -17 C kept the snow crisp and gave the feel of "roughing" it to the excursion, as we spent our two evenings there in front of the wood stove with music and games. We now have a greater appreciation for running water!
